As principal and chief strategist of Rising Tide Communications, Kate Consenstein leads the team. Her body of work lies in fishery-related marketing as well as campaigns of all kinds. Kate delivers both the conceptual and the analytic thinking, with a constant eye to considering what moves consumers to act, do, choose and align. As account manager at a national marketing and public relations agency, she managed multi-faceted campaigns under the most demanding timelines, offering a collaborative and transparent communication style to clients. Kate grew up picking fish at her family set-net site on Kodiak’s west side. Kate’s favorite food is smoked black cod, aka “bacon of the sea”
Christine is a master of strategic planning. She executes campaigns with flawless attention to detail, and has mastered social media tactics and digital marketing. She has shepherded the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute in-state account for years and provides exceptional insight to the Alaskan fish lover’s mind. With a laser focus on strategy and a knack for creative ideas, she artfully and diligently executes projects that stay on time, on strategy and on budget for her clients. Not only a marketing and public relations wizard, Christine and her husband are Alaska commercial fishing permit and quota holders in Juneau, Alaska. Rockfish taco bowls are her jam.
Aileen serves as our Senior Account Manager, working with clients on social media strategy, public relations, media, advertising and research. Previously, Aileen served as the Deputy Press Secretary to Alaska Governor Bill Walker where she helped manage and coordinate communications, digital strategy, and social media for the Governor and Lt. Governor’s offices. Aileen has previously worked with several national branding and communications firms. She got her start as an intern for a U.S. Senator researching state and federal issues. Aileen has a passion for hot sauce, the hotter and saucier the better.
Kate serves as our account coordinator, helping develop social media content, website content, and graphic design insight for our clients. Previously, Kate worked at the Alaska Marine Conservation Council where she coordinated statewide sales and marketing for their community supported fishery. A transplant from Wisconsin, Kate embraces the cliché with a deep and abiding love for all cheeses.
